First Screen

What a visitor sees before scrolling: the title, the first line, the first action and the first picture, which decide whether they stay.

Design decides the first second. On the first screen a visitor reads the firm before reading any sentence, and in its first lines a search engine and an AI answer find the fact they will repeat. The first screen is where the one sentence, the visual system and the data meet.

Why It Matters

Most fixes the studio finds in a first reading are small and sit here: a sentence that almost answers the buyer’s question, three screens down, moved up; a title that names the firm’s category instead of its buyer’s problem; a first action that asks for too much too soon.

How the Studio Uses It

Every page is built with its first screen first: one title on two lines at most, one line that says who it is for, one action, and one picture or drawing. On this site every title holds to two lines on a desktop screen. The Moon builds every page of a firm’s site the same way.

Asked About
First Screen.

Does every page need a big picture?

No. It needs one clear statement and one action; the picture serves them.

How much text belongs on the first screen?

The title and one line. Everything else follows below.
